In Class: Today we played a Kahoot to start the review of the 2nd unit.
Homework: Studying for the test next week In Class: Today we finished our discussion on the Bill of Rights and we also started our Unit Review.
The Bill of Rights Graphic was due today In Class: We finished our conversation around Federalism and we went over a few more cases related to governmental powers. We then discussed how amendments are created and we looked at the Bill of Rights.
I have attached the entire Unit Two PowerPoint in Resources Homework: Students need to finish their Bill of Rights graphic that is due Thursday in class. They began working on it during class today. In Class: We finished our conversation around Federalism and we went over a few more cases related to governmental powers. In Class: Today we discussed the various powers found in government. We also talked about Federalism.
Homework: Please read two of the articles found here and answer the questions at the end of the article. You do not have to read all three so pick the two that sound most interesting! In Class: Today we discussed the Virginia Plan, the New Jersey Plan, The Great Compromise, and the 3/5 Compromise. We also talked about the Preamble to the Constitution, as well as the structure of the Constitution.
There is no homework this weekend. Have a wonderful weekend! In Class: Today we finished up our Enlightenment Thinkers and we began to discuss the Constitution. We specifically looked at the Articles of Confederation and its impact on the drafting of the Constitution.
Homework:
In Class: Today we discussed the Enlightenment and how it impacted the foundation of the American government. Students worked in groups to create posters for one of the Enlightenment Thinkers we covered.
